mikky Posted November 24, 2013 Report Share Posted November 24, 2013 (edited) i am chuffed to bits,my lad has just passed his second dan in shotokan karate,after 5 hrs of grading and fighting,one massive blackeye,split lip and huge lump on his ankle.......even better cos when he was younger he had to have one of kidneys rebuilt and was told not to do any contact sports....just relieved he got through relatively unscathed... time for a cold beer hahah..just seen my avatar...he got most of it off his best mate who is in the picture with him Edited November 24, 2013 by mikky Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

KFC Posted November 24, 2013 Report Share Posted November 24, 2013 Congratulations to him. 18 months ago, at the age of 61, I started Tang Soo Do and I've already won some trophies in national competition. In the process I've had two broken toes and a black eye. Great fun. Getting to second Dan takes plenty of dedication and hard work so, I've no doubt, he's chuffed to make the grade. He's overcome his early medical problems . He achieved a black belt . He didnt settle for that he pushed himself on to 2nd dan . Not too sloppy .eh Dad ?
