Kent velocity 29 grams 6's

Recommended Posts

Bought 250 of these a while ago for pigeons as these were all my local dealer had in fibre wad. Put some through my maxus today and every cartridge didnt eject. I know its not the gun as it cycles every thing else perfectly, 28 grams included. Just to be sure shot a couple of clear pigeon i had left over and it cycled them no problem.

Anyone else had this issue?

I bought a Maxus from Paul at Humberside shooting ground. I like the gun, it shoots and cycles well.

The other day whilst speaking to his gunsmith John I was told that he had heard of a problem with the gun failing to cycle and eject properly. ( Can't remember if any specific cartridge was mentioned ).

The problem was apparently caused by felt wad cartridges which were loaded with a felt wad that was undersized thus allowing gasses to escape up the barrel past the wad, thus the bleed off, of the gasses to cycle the action was reduced, resulting in the problem you outlined.

Change of cartridge required methinks.

Hope this helps.
