oadamo
hi i am looking to buying a collapsible pcp air rifle i have seen the air arms tdr but are there any others. thanks Edited January 9, 2014 by oadamo
kent
There has been an odd one or two, non of which did that well. the air arms might be the better one to look at. Falcon made the light hunter that was designed for backpacking for Turkeys at FAC levels originally I believe but not a take down just small and light. fenboy
One of the most sought after is the colchester gamekeeper , would take some finding though.
RED BEARD
the gunpower stealth is a take down pcp.two older classic pcp's that would fit the bill are the colchester arms gamekeeper or one of the skan bullpups (had both and they wre good guns)
Hamster
hi i am looking to buying a collapsible pcp air rifle i have seen the air arms tdr but are there any others. thanks Any particular reasons it needs to be collapsible ? Only ask as the normal ones tend to be much better in most departments and more easily available as well.
chrisjpainter
If it does need to be a Take Down Rifle, I'd look at the Gunpower range. I think they're all single shots, but they're dedicated TDR specialists, unlike the S410TDR, which was an afterthought to the standard S410. The other option might be a second hand Logun S16. they're multishot, but a serious lottery on whether you get a good one - and I don't know how you can limit the chances of that happening. someone on here might know more about the S16? washerboy
Gunpower.... Had two and couldn't keep them legal, sold them when I got them running under but told the New owner they would creep...more like Sprint up
Zetter
Fx Verminator MK1 or 2 can be got for about £500-700 second hand. It fits in a nice case, better shot count than the TDR and looks better as well in my opinion. I have one and its a nice compact collapsible rifle with a nice trigger. As Washerboy said I would steer clear of gunpower they look great on paper but the couple of people I knew who had them got shot of them quickly due to reliability issues. johnbaz
Hi Here's my Stealth... And stowed away.. The trick to stopping the power moving is to chrono the gun until it's at around 11.5ft lbs then use a feeler guage to measure the gap between the tophat and the bottle then uscrew the tophat and put a bit of threadlock on then screw it back to the feeler guage then threadlock the grubscrew in too!! Bit of a messabout but it works Blue Hylomar is the stuff to use as it doesn't fully dry... John
TDRsniper
Proud owner of the S410 TDR and have used a couple of other including the S16 which you need to be a weight lifter to use. I can say that if you can find a good condition S410 for anything around £550 buy it and you won't ever look back, I think (and I'm sure to be corrected) that it is one of if not the lightest TDR going and has bagged me hundreds of rabbits as well as many other species. As a side note...can't say I've "taken it down" for about 4 years. Good luck.
