Mentalmac
Took a wonder through colchester a castle park early this mornin on the way to swimming and saw these blighters... The bird tried landing on my arm! Funny how tame they can become
The Mighty Prawn
Maybe a 7 iron would do the job on the squizers?

Mentalmac
It seems to be the way that when you can't shoot them with a gun, they are really happy to be in the picture frame instead. Must admit, those squirrels looked awfully tasty haha A 7 iron would be a bit overkill!
scolopax
We have got a tame squirrel using one of our pheasant feeders, lets us get a few feet away before retreating up the nearest tree. Shame really as there will be a few vermin thinning out sessions coming soon and it will be hard to tell him from his wild mates.
pigeon controller
When I walk the dog along the canal the crows and pigeons all present themselves as perfect targets.

njc110381
The thing I hate is the attachment I feel for these little guys. Once an animal puts it's faith in me I really struggle to harm them. It just feels wrong. I will always remember a nice roe buck on one of my shoots. He was left as he was such a tidy animal for breeding and he slowly came around to the idea that people wouldn't bother him. I found him one day looking badly hurt, I think he'd been hit by a car. I took the shot at around 25 yards and then cried... I've been less upset over losing relatives!

I would not think twice, shooting a grey if a safe legal oppertunity arose! Garden visitor or not!

I know what you mean the magpies are always stealing the shiny black pebbles from my plants and dropping them all over the drive but are fun to watch some days chasing greys in the garden I couldn't shoot them they don't have the instinct to hide there just nosey lol. Mentalmac
I had the same chaps, had a squirrel in the garden whom I called Bob. I always vowed that if he ever got closer than the washing line ill pop him off.... Yup, after a few months we had a 'Bob pie'. I felt terrible pulling the trigger but I've had squirrels in the loft before.
