toplever
Language on LZ is not good - no need for it. LR Net is probably the best one IMO. Some of the parts suppliers sell some absolute rubbish which you have to end up replacing as soon as. Lots of bits on fleabay but delivery cost is always a problem. LR Net moderate a pony express service which gets you LR parts from all across the UK . Get my new small parts from a supplier in Docking Norfolk and get larger s/h parts and panels from a landy man with a large stock also near there. If you are building a hybrid LR insurance can be a factor. The word modified rings bells all over the place. Good to start with a galv chassis and bulkhead if you are on a rebuild. Paul223
Britpart can be very good, you have to be choosy though, an example of the two extremes, clutch for a TDI in a britpart box is valeo (an OE manufacture) , clutch cylinder seals are cheap Chinese rubbish that last a week if your lucky
ferguson_tom
Personally i have found landyzone a great website but it does have its d***heads. I can understand it to a certain extent the way they are as having newbies to forums asking the same questions over again does get annoying especially when it has a good search function and loads of info.... i mean how many times on here do you see i am considering buying a nissan xtrail but want owners opinions!!!! Anyway if you can handle the banter and language landyzone is very good but there are a few rules on it, mainly introduce yourself and dont ask people how much you think your vehicle is worth as they consider this is just spammers looking to sell their vehicle quick. I would suggest introduce yourself in the right section with a couple pics of your landy and give a bit of info on your project, I am pretty sure you will get a good response. Gav912
I use the defender2.net forum most of the time if I need any help with problems on my Td5 110 and for parts I sometimes use Paddocks but mostly use LRDirect now as it gives you several choices for each part normally at prices to suit your budget be it Britpart or Genuine LR. byjovecarruthers
http://www.defender2.net/forum/index.php I like the above site for Defender stuff. I also find the below link handy for accessories and some parts fitting etc. https://topix.landrover.jlrext.com/topix/i18n/index
