Will Poon
Seeing that I like visiting various clubs, I thought I would start this years Pigeon watch charity shoot topic off. Your thoughts please on the club for it to be held at or anything to do with this years charity shoot

The Mighty Prawn
I think the midlands is fairest as it's equidistant for all, and nothing to do with the fact I live there... Oh when I say midlands can I be more specific and say west mids? I've been to east mids and their guns were more of the sawn off variety ;-)
reggiegun
Me and my son would be interested, as long as its not miles away. Reggiegun
Churchill
Hi Will, The venue needs to be central to allow as many shooters as possible to attend, so i suggest Mid Norfolk Shooting School or Cambridge. Hope that helps Fella

Churchill
How about here :good: http://home.btconnect.com/dellglenlivet/ Glenlivet, we want to go clay pigeon shooting, not do a whiskey trail. However that could be a awesome charity shoot, lol I hope to see you again at this years charity shoot Tam. Blunderbust
The quicker we go firm on the date and venue the easier it will be to attend, good on ya Will, looking forwards to seeng you all again.

Catamong
Is there going to be a PW Charity Shoot this year, there were a lot of very late entries to last years event, there needs to be a good level of solid support early doors to make it viable..?? I'm sure Teal will be along soon enough to clarify matters..? As regards grounds, I think Mid Norfolk would be too far for a lot of folk, Cambridge GC would be a better venue for most, but I'm sure they'll be others in the frame soon enough.. Cat. Will Poon
Isn't it meant to be held up here in the north this year, I've always fancied Bonnie scotland but it's way too far for the southerner to travel I think. Wales has some nice shooting grounds that could accommodate as well Yes I think it's a good idea that a date is set in stone so people can commit earlier , like Cat said there were a lot of very late entries
delburt0
I'll sit on the fence, no doubt I will be working :(
shoot and be safe
I had a good time at last years gathering. Yes there were a few late entries last year, mainly in favour of the southern softies the ringer I would like to commit to this years bash and the sooner the date options are available, the more chance I will be able to book time off. As for venue, I'm. not to fussed as long as it is within 3hrs drive from North Wales. Anywhere between Carlisle to the north and Milton Keynes to the south. One small point as to the choice of ground is one that is reasonably priced. The average cost per round for myself is £25/100 (not comps). That way @£50 for the shoot, £25 would go to the charity I'll have to improve my skills over the coming months. See you there
Mr Potter
Isn't it meant to be held up here in the north this year, I've always fancied Bonnie scotland but it's way too far for the southerner to travel I think. Wales has some nice shooting grounds that could accommodate as well Yes I think it's a good idea that a date is set in stone so people can commit earlier , like Cat said there were a lot of very late entries Think the idea of alternating venues North and South was never really on Will. The consensus was always lets aim for the middle so that the majority have only a reasonable distance. We have Tam & Bonnie travelling from Scotland and someone (sorry can't remember who) travelling from Cornwall. Those two have got to travel probably 100 miles further than anyone else but hold it in either of those two locations and the other 60 or 70 participants will be travelling mega miles (think of the PW carbon footprint!!) As said above, Teal is the one to get the ball rolling but I agree that the sooner we decide on i) the date and ii) the location then we can gauge the level of interest. Cat has hit the nail on the head regarding numbers, we need a minimum of x participants to make it work and, in my opinion, it was looking pretty bleak up until the final week last year. Lets hope that we can raise enough shooters in 2014 to have a viable day and continue to raise significant sums for whichever charity we support this year. neil3728
The traveling distance has to be fair for all who are coming, so central would be best, I should be there just depends on the dates. It was a good weekend last year. It would be a shame if it was cancelled due to lack of interest.
ShakeyShooter
Selfish and central and prestigious ground I bid for West Mids Shooting School.

shoot and be safe
A night at "Hooters" would be nice again :whistling: If it was around the North Wales area, you could have another night at the Crown If your nerves are up to it
Fudge40
It was a great event last year & will be looking forward to attending again this year. A central ground would be best for most people to attend not that I'm bias being from the midlands The sooner the date & ground is posted the more chance we will get on early entries as I know I will have to book time off. Azzurri
By the looks of things so far the date is most important The most important thing is barring Mr P from the Raffle Azzurri.
timps
Yep got to agree with Azzurri also son of mr P as well seeing as he gets embarrassed at winning so passes the tickets on to his offspring..... Seeing as I have done all of them I guess I will be going no matter where it's held but we are realistically talking northern midlands and southern midlands to get the most from both sides. Not had a bad ground yet so the voting seems to work but it's all about the night before ....... So I have been informed :-)
hitclays
The sooner the date is confirmed the better chance i and i suspect many others will have of attending, regardless of venue
