strangford wildfowler
Weldone to the police for finding the firearm. He looks like the kind of person who would do you in if you done something to him
four-wheel-drive
Its just a pity that he ruined a perfectly good shotgun I hope that the owner had it insured.

Gordon R
At least he got the correct sentence. Well done to Police, CPS and the Judge. Sometimes justice does work.

Good work! But on the same page there is another story that to me is much more sinister https://www.west-midlands.police.uk/latest-news/news.aspx?id=675 YET AGAIN, a Chief Constable is sticking his nose into something that should be on NO concern to the police - will they never learn? If I was one of the good guys in West Midlands Police, I would despair.......
fella
At least he got the correct sentence. Well done to Police, CPS and the Judge. Sometimes justice does work. Do we really think that 5 years is enough? Out in 2 and a half, and had a weapon in his possession that would be used for killing, maiming or making another fear for their life? I'd have given him double.
Gordon R
fella - I agree with you, but the way things are going - offenders don't seem to get the 5 years. Personally, I would give him 20 years.
Penelope
It would appear that there is more to the Trojan letter than the hoax that it was first thought to be. Typical top-brass social engineering type.
Liamey
Vile scum. Too bad only 5 years though. Should have been 5 years for every inch of the stock sawn off.
kent
Gosh a sniffer dog in our home would need retiring after clearing the first two rooms of all firearm smells. they should sure need a few dogs and a heck of a lot of tennis balls! I often wonder about that firearms residue test they do on CSI and the likes, if it lasts after a wash it might be a permanent positive. thought 5 yrs for firearms was a full fixed sentence without early release ? Doubtless that gun would have been used at some stage. I do think we need to see longer sentences and hard labour
