Mr pigeon
Hi guys, We are hopefully going to build a new shoot room for our little shoot, at present we use an open barn. Just wondering what "essentials" people have in their own shoot rooms? To personalise or make it more homely! Don't want to forget anything! Cheers! matty*
A few shoots i go on have fire, kettle, cooker ect. But they also have shooting magazines, taxidermy, pictures of the shoot. I think thats what really makes it feel like a shoot lodge.

Mr pigeon
We are talking a 40ft lorry back with outside covering.
Verminator343
Some where that doesn't leak, plenty of seats, bar, log burner, hot soup - lots of hot soup! One of my local shoots has a little open faced shack, it is missing cladding and has a leaky roof, absolutely freezing with high winds but its full of character. HDAV
We are talking a 40ft lorry back with outside covering. They aren't as big as you think, of you can get a reefer unit (insulated)

Keep ideas coming as have plenty of time on my hands to get things in order!
HDAV
Natural light will be an issue
scotslad
We use an old knackered static caravan, knocked all the walls out so just 1 big room. Nowt fancy but does the job. Anywhere with a half decent seat and out of the wind does the job. We manged to scrounge a log burner a couple of years ago and it has really transformed the hut esp this season after some of the stinking wet days we had. Also got the old cooker going this year too which also makes a massive difference. We also bodged a lightening system using 12V led spot lights, looks well dodgy with exposed cables and just soldered spades onto the bulb pins so are just hanging off the roof, and big clips onto the battery terminals. Works really well esp afer a duck flight seen us sitting in caravan for an hour now having a blether and getting the craic whereas before was a pain getting ur gear togetherand sorting out the game in the dark. Basically anywhere out the wind makes a difference, some sort of seating old school seats/bales or proper comfy seats but mind good seatd might get ate by nice, log burner is a massive bonus as is a coker or kettle, u manage fine without them but nice to have. Like hd says above natural light might be ur problem, but u could bodge some windows into it, doesnae have to be any fancy joinery. Our shoot survives on wot we can scrounge amazing the things u can reuse Or similar 12v lighting system, really easy to wire up and ours looks really terrible but works fine
