Underdog
Got some rats to shoot in a big farm yard, I only have 12g suppository guns now and wonder if any one has any 3/4oz(21g) loads using Alliant Green dot? Only need to load a few and was thinking about 17grns U.
Lord Geordie
Think you will find green dot too slow for 3/4oz. Perhaps red dot would do?
Underdog
Yes think your right! There are some 7/8oz loads listed and it is not all that efficient too. Might have to just get a box of trainers! U.
casts_by_fly
A box of hull comp-x 21 g #9 would be a lot easier for a fiver.
FatFreddysCat
Few 7/8th oz green dot loads listed here. http://www.alliantpowder.com/reloaders/recipedetail.aspx?shotype=&weight=0.875&weightdis=7%2f8&shellid=497>ypeid=3&gauge=
Guest cookoff013
green dot would be my least choice for 3/4 and 7/8oz loads. it is just for 32grams and 36gram loads. there is data to support infact green dot is excellent for 3/4oz 20gauge loads. thats how wrong the application is. another poster has pointed out it is cheaper to buy any 21gram shell. red dot is slightly better but there are better choices. the other choice is use any clay shell. kent
If its to be a regular thing get a .410 adapter and some 2" .410 shells. I have some Little skeeters and they work fine for this sot of thing

kennett
A 12g suppository would make your eyes water!
Underdog
I never thought of no9s!! Thanks. A 12g suppository would make your eyes water! Gentlemen always enter from the front, hence my preferred choice of sporting gun....a muzzleloader. Heathens and devils enter from behind! U Come to think of it that little .58" with half an ounce in it might be a lot of fun in the dark! Edited April 25, 2014 by Underdog

bornfree
I normally use a 24g 9 shot skeet shell through a cylinder choke. Great fun.
