Harnser
Local elections aside .I think that the results of the euro MEP will be more interesting on Sunday . I think that the main stay parties are going to get a bigger shock . I hope they all get a bigger kick up the bum . Maybe they will start to listen to the electorate . poontang
did anyone catch the interviews with UKIP votes, man it was cringe worthy some women from Yorkshire and a bloke from Sunderland honestly when they package UKIP voters as "below average intelligence" you can see why I'm very tempted to correct the composition and grammar in the above post. However, as someone of 'below average intelligence' I'll just sit back and have a little titter at the irony of it.

poontang
is this you poontang No. It clearly states in your link that the man lives in Walsall. Lampwick
Who's going to be the first of the career politicians to drop thier lifelong, heart felt convictions and do a u-turn to save their income? If The Tories and Labour are so convinced by their politics surely they won't change them as a reaction to this poor show by UKIP??? Will they? Hmmmm... how could they and their supporters defend it if they did? I know they could tell us they have listened to their electorate and are reacting accordingly. (Then ignore us again) To so many of them this is a game to play to stay employed! Such a shame. But hey hoh there's a new kid or two on the block! BOOM! krugerandsmith
To be fair there is no insinuation, just the presentation of d Well if I heard right BBC reporter Nick Robinson said this morning on Radio 4 that the reason why UKIP didnt do to well in London than the rest of the country is because people in London are much smarter. Media is just full of ****. Agreed Headlines in todays Mail ..... Telling how Labour did so badly .. No mention of the Tory disaster. Sprackles
Agreed. But coming fron nowhere paints the picture in different colours. Every mighty oak starts from the little acorn and UKIP are growing.
mick miller
The clips chosen by the mainstream media, the left leaning BBC particularly, are simply chosen to preserve the stereotype that they wish to portray that UKIP voters are morons and simpletons. The simple truth is that the stupid and uneducated will place their crosses for any of the other mainstream parties too. Consider the phenomenon in strong labour heartlands where voters make choices not based on policies or politics but on some perverse kind of loyalty to their fathers and there fathers before them, you hear those particular morons put that across saying things like "we've always voted labour in this family". I do not doubt that a large proportion of the swing toward UKIP is a protest vote against the other three parties. However, the establishment needs to sit up and take note, the concerns of the British public about jobs and immigration is real, it can no longer be ignored or belittled with snide accusations of racism or xenophobia - it's a genuine concern now for many people. UKIP is never going to do well in any of the London boroughs, there is barely any one English left there, even less anyone that could genuinely call themselves a 'Londonder'. And they did extremely well in places like Basildon and Thurrock which is where the former inhabitants of old east end London have moved to.
