belly47
hi guys just wondered if anyone in kent is have any success decoying at the moment as my shooting buddy worzel and I are struggling to say the least. with us in the medway towns/Gravesend area we just don't seem to be seeing great numbers of them to begin with, so when we do set up anywhere there is not much action. we are pretty new to decoying having started last year, and we are now confident that our patterns etc work as we do have them coming in when they are about. what are you seeing in your part of Kent?? rich1985
Where are the pigeons in Norfolk too!! It's a funny time of year at the moment, always abit slow between now and harvest, when them combines start rolling I'm sure some woods will turn up! fortune
At this time of year you wont see big flocks. all around where I live they seem to be in house gardens or just sitting on the power lines. They seem to be eating away at leaf buds an just collecting nesting sticks from the gardens. I did see a group of about twenty get up from a field of peas the other day but if they hadn't have taken off I wouldn't have known that they were there. This is where you got to spend time watching and waiting. There were quite a lot up on the farm in the woods the other evening when son in law and I had a walk round also in an orchard which had been grubbed out.
