Another excellent video again mate. Well done. Do you pop out and pick up the dead birds, and what cartridges are you using?

Keep the video's coming. :good:

Steve.

thank you . as for picking up the dead birds .. it all depends , sometimes the birds seem to respond well to seeing lots of action on the ground , other times they seem to shy away if there's too much going on , the last couple of time for instance I had to pull in the dead birds for them to play ball .

as for carts , I was using NSI ( noble sport Italia ) 28 gram # 6

When I get a lull in shooting them (more often than not) I use the dead ones as decoys. I insert bamboo canes from their 'back' end into their skull, leaving some bamboo to place into the ground. I also bring some of these home with canes attached, and place them in my freezer in the shed. Even when frozen, they are easy to place out, and still look 'real'.

Brilliant mate, real enjoyed that, do you have a net overhang on your backing net?

there's lots of different ways of doing thing as you well know , but the way I build a hide for crows is , I use 4 hide poles set out in a square ( size depends on the size of your main net ) then I put 1 pole out the front like the front of a ship , I then use a small net and put that over the 4 poles to make my roof , then I put my main net around all 5 poles making sure the roof net is tucked inside , that way it wont blow about when it gets windy , the end result is you have a fully encased hide , with the peek at the front open so you can stand up and shoot ,

like I said there's lots of different ways , but that's how I like to do it .

Brilliant vid as always, only bit I don't get is you said you put the net around all 5 poles don't you leave a gap to get in and out ?

Atb Dave

thank you for your comment .

sorry im rubbish at explaning myself , I mean like this

3

4 2

5 1

of course this all depends on the size of your net , I start at #1 and go all the way around and hook the last bit of net onto pole #1 , that way you just have to pull it back where they meet and get in . and the join is at the back .

regards stevo
