jgguinness
Just having a think about an AYA that I have. I believe it to be a Yeoman, but looking at others for sale, im not 100%. The forend uses a latch type lock instead of the button type I have normally seen. It also has a half pistol/Prince of Wales stock and has a cross bolt lock too (not sure if the terminology used there is correct). Non ejector. See pic below. Is it a Yeoman? (the top gun in the pic) Kind regards Jonathan Edited June 4, 2014 by jgguinness
Paul taylor
My yeoman looks like the bottom gun mate not the top one. sure one of the more knowledgeable members will be along to answer more comprehensively soon enough.

Cheers Paul. Yeah the other Yeoman's I have seen do to. The lower gun is my AYA .410 sbs, think its a No.3. TriBsa
I had one like that many years ago, i think it was called a Countryman. Yes, that's right I think. ASI weren't the only importers of AYA's. During the 60's/70's Elderkins of Spalding imported many AYA's built to their own specifications such as the Countryman and Solway (No3 3" Magnum but with 32" barrels I think). They were big importers then often having 5 or so seperate adverts in Shooting Times of the day. I think an email to Elderkins might identify the gun in the top picture. The Yeomans had the flat cheeks to the stock as seen on the 410 not the raised(?) cheeks in the gun above. HTH Tom
Penelope
My dad had a Yeoman for a while that had the fore end latch, beaver tail fore end, full pistol grip, 2 3/4 chambers and 28 inch barrels. It had Yeoman stamped on the rib.

I'll see if I can dig out an old advertisment and get it scanned. Edited June 4, 2014 by TriBsa

jgguinness
Hi mate. No worries, I just sent them my serial number and asked if they could tell me any information. Their email address is aya@aya-fineguns.com I love my AYA's. I had a No.4 boxlock ejector which was nice, sold that. I now have this Model 106 12 gauge, the No.3 410 SBS and looking after a matched pair of XXV's that I'm trying to save up enough cash to buy, providing my mate will part with them! Kind regards Jonathan
