yates
As already said, Hawes with the wensleydale cheese factory, Masham with both the theakstone and black sheep breweries. Try middleham, castle and the forbidden corner attraction. Fantastic pubs that take dogs in all three

spinach
My parents rented a place in Reeth every year for 20 years he always said yes want to die there in paradise and last year he did! Drove my Mum there last week and she loved being back. It is a beautiful village. Message me here and I can give you the name of people that rent cottages that are really nice as are the people. John. Any of the villages in Swaledale are worth a look.

Have to agree given that's my patch :-)) From here you can head up Wensleydale, into Swaledale and easily nip over into Nidderdale (pateley bridge). Are you looking at self catering / hotels / b&b??
