JKD
Hi guys, hope someone can help identify this ? It was, I'm lead to believe, on a Triumph Stag, but I've looked at online images and cant find anything exactly the same Any help much appreciated. Beardo
Dolomite i reckon yup - though so... my nextdoor neighbour has one (in a tasteful 70's poo brown)
JKD
Quick replies guys I've edited in a better picture. Also I'm assuming there have been a couple of additions ? The three smaller items ?
JKD
Cheers Beardo, they certainly are one and the same Many thanks
hoggysreels
Sprint ?? Though auto selector has me doubting !! 2.5 PI ?
hawkfanz
Dolomite i reckon yup - though so... my nextdoor neighbour has one (in a tasteful 70's poo brown) that's why they nicknamed them dolopo****e
kennym
Cheers Beardo, they certainly are one and the same Many thanks no the screw holes are in different places i think PI look on the tacho it will say 4, 6 or 8 cylinder this will give a good indication
figgy
The one you have don't have the choke sticking out of the bottom right hand side like the dolomite. What's the dash in the GT6 like they share a lot with the 2500. Figgy
saddler
TOLEDO?
Mike737
It surely wouldn't have a choke if it was an injection model? Mike. Edit - The 2.5 PI has the same offset screw holes as the OP, similar to Beardo's Dolly, but not in line with each other vertically. MY vote 2.5 PI. Many people fitted extra switches etc.. Mike. rimfire4969
I would say Dolomite, had 2, 1 was my first car. Think I might get a Dolly Sprint one of these days.
kennym
No choke would poimt to it been off a Pi as the name implies it was petrol injected & didn't have a manual choke, I think the GT6 had Su's Kennym
Beardo
i reckon you're right Kennym - take a look at the 2500 pi dash here... it's got the same shape as the Dolomite but with offset screws. I'm sure there are loads of variations of what buttons / chokes etc.
JKD
no the screw holes are in different places i think PI look on the tacho it will say 4, 6 or 8 cylinder this will give a good indication It says 6 cylinder and all the instruments are Smiths. JKD
Many people fitted extra switches etc.. Mike. I've looked at the back and it looks like the small amber light is a retro-fit, and maybe the central hazard light. I've also found on the back a paper label/tag,,,,, with TKC 2039 on it. It's attached to the wiring on the temp gauge. Does this have any relevance ? Cheers for all your help with this fellas, I didn't think it was going to be an easy identification, what with people adding things to suit their requirements. Plus they seem to be interchangeable between certain models.
Paddy Galore!
that and the speedo registers up to 140mph, ever seen a dollop go even half that quick?

fenboy
Dolomite i reckon yup - though so... my nextdoor neighbour has one (in a tasteful 70's poo brown) My first motor was a poo brown dolomite
