MJO
Has anyone had issues with ejecting Lyalvale Express carts. Its not a serious issue but irritating when i'm trying for a rapid reload having disturbed the roost and a pigeon sails by giving me the finger (well, feather). Some eject but some get stuck and need working free. Not had this issue with other carts Any ideas?

Paddy Galore!
try checking the brass to see if it's kinked or damaged, seen this type of thing before with deformed carts.

Just wondered if I need to get my SG fixed or if this is something others have experienced? They seemed to shoot really well - certainly brought down the birds but just a little frustrating

Floating Chamber
They are high performance, 'pokey' shells. I was there when they were developed. Never had any probs! Great respect for them. Never had a jam.
matty*
I had this problem using rio royals, i thought it was the long brass on them. I was rong. I gave my chambers a polish and actually swapped over to the cartridge you are on about. A very good cartridge and no problems for me tho i must say they are a dirty cartridge but very good. MJO
Clean your gun. Thanks for that insightful advice. Having spent 20 years handling weapons within my profession on a daily basis, i don't think i need advice on cleaning. I clean my SG religiously after every outing, to a professional standard. Yes, that was a bite but weapon cleaning is sacred ground! I am not criticising the cartridge, as i said they shot extremely well and i'd like to consider using them on a permanent basis. I realise they are high performance, which is why i bought them. I am trying to find a sensible solution to the problem

I too wondered if it was the long brass, but it cant be otherwise the problem would be more widespread. Great cartridge as you say - they come tumbling down when you hit with these
figgy
Might be your gun has tight chambers or a bad batch of carts with slightly bigger brass or plastic cases. I always found Black Golds a pig in Berettas, made the gun hard to open after firing and carts dragged on the face of the standing breech. Do make sure the extractor and spring is not all gummed up! Yours would not be the first! U.
welshwarrior
When was the last time you removed the ejectors and cleaned the legs and springs. By "weapon cleaning" sound like military please be aware military cleaning and cleaning a shotgun is a bit different I've done both for a living! Get a good bore scrub and chamber brush and give the chambers a super deep clean the lube, then remove the ejectors and clean and re lubricator that whole area and retry. berettadevon
Ive never had a problem with Express cartridges what ever the load type. Last time i had a ejector issue it turned out the spring had got weak, now all is cleaned up and spring replaced the spent cartridges fly out furhter than id like but hey they eject which is the main point!! Like Welshwarrier said above i would agree with remove the ejectors and give them a dam good clean all around and relube them. take a look at the springs too and see if they are damaged or worn, might as well whilst theyre out. MAB1954
Not sure this will help but yes had the same problem with Lyalvale cartridges in my SxS, like you I clean my gun to a high standard I'm an engineer and been shooting for 40 years. I thought it must be the gun and went back to my gunsmith/dealer he had a look at the gun with me and could not see a fault, he then gave me a selection of cartridges and said put them through it and see how you get on. All cartridges ejected no problem so I just don't buy Lyalvale any more, have use various brands with no problems currently use Fiocchi because the dealer had them on offer. Just my experience. Arley
I recently bought 250 Supreme Game and only fired two boxes so far. Had one case that didn't eject cleanly and also the graphics on the cartridges isn't good. You cant read the no 6 on the case. Not very good on there premier game load. For the same price I can buy Dark Storm.
