LEFTY478
It's eleven and a half hours since I read of Konings death and as I write this, I am not really sure of what I what say. He is, was, a man I never met, never got to know, other than through his wonderful pictures and discriptions - many of which I have re-read today. I logged-on, at home this evening to read the tributes that members have left and it has left me, truely devestated. What an utterly, utterly tragic waste. I can not even begin to imaging what his family are going through. Konings, where ever you are now, I pray that the company you keep is good, and that the sky is blue and the field's green, that your aim is true and that your Bag is forever full, and that there will aways be a cold beer waiting for you. My best regards, Lefty, a friend, that you never met...

Hunter
This is horrible news :( It was always nice to see Konings post, trying hard to write in English (cant say I ever tried in Dutch, even though im half Dutch). His photos always showed his love of nature. He became sick with Lymes a while ago, and fought hard for 6 weeks to get over it. It was very nice to read he was well again, when I read the title of this topic I thought it had cought him again, only to read it was an accident. terrible, and unfair. Hope you will have a long peacefull rest you will be missed.

pavman
Like many of us on PW I guess, I went home last night with the sad loss on my mind. We share a passion for field sports and our world is far better for our meeting via this forum. Our dear departed friend demonstrates just how easy it is for like minded folk to make friends no matter what country or background we are from, he was to me, a fantastic example of just what PW is all about. Friendship with like minds and the happiness that sharing ideas and experiences can bring. May you rest in peace, and may you family and all touched by you gain comfort in having know you and shared your company for far to short a time pavman

Guest jonrms
Like many members on here I too have just read about the news, I remember joking with him regarding the struggle and fighting over his lyme disease. I remember joking about pushing himself to get better but he still wouldnt be able to get any quary... I also believe he was a generous man, he donated to the charity for disabled people, and always had a good comments to say. I hope these msgs get to his wife, his family and I hope he is in a better place. It is just strange and scary how quick life comes and go's. RIP seems to just not cover how I really feel. Bud, I hope your somewhere where you can play around in fields, smile down on us as we miss shots, watch over your family and protect them from any harm. I hope your in a better place, it just sad that this place you were once in has lost a good friend, hunter, and family member!
Piebob
Like many others, I never really know what to say in these circumstances. I didn't meet Konings but read his posts. I'll miss his stories and his photos, but I guess not as much as his family will be missing him. Sincere condolences to them at this sad, sad time.
