activeviii
Show coming up next week. Is it worth the hassels or is it a small country affair. I see it says "An amazing selection of gun companies in the Showering Pavilion" Any feed back?
rimfire4969
Last time I went it was carp, but that was about 4 years ago. I will not be wasting my time unless I hear it is a hell of a lot better.
Dunkield
Sorry to say by all accounts it isn't worth a visit these days. Shame as it used to be great early season show.

welshwarrior
They've been chasing hard for exhibitors and say they aim to be bigger and better than before! Interested to know what happens.
Dunkield
Its catch 22 Exhibitors want customers, customers want exhibitors. Once one starts to go, so does the other.

rjimmer
Thanks for that just emailed him . I wasn't sure if the link was allowed. Take plenty of money with you. He will have lots of stuff there if the stand is as big as it usually is. Edited March 12, 2015 by rjimmer
welshwizard
Rang Norman Clark and he told me he is taking a range of reloading gear but if anyone wants anything in particular its best to ring him and order for pickup at the show . Spaniel
Well went today and spent the day having fun with the family wife on the basc clay instruction and kids on air riffles I picked up some pigeon decoys half flocked shells but other then the norm nothing really to get excited about I think the event needs some changes to it some how a bit of a refresher etc

bumpy22
seems smaller every year.... but I still go every year. probably covered it all today in a hour
ShootingEgg
I went satutday, had a good day, took.tge pup and he was brilluant, thought id walk around outside near clays gradually getting close until he freaked. But he ignored it all the way until i was between the two stands. I think as has been said, if the footfall.isnt there then the exhibitors wont make the effort and vice versa
Wilts#Dave
I've been most years and it just seems to get worse and worse as a 'game fair'. No decent gunshops/stands there and the same old cheap tweed jackets stands that are at every show. I like to take the gun and have a go at the clays which does pad the day out but definitely need to try and gain some of the bigger names/shops back. Avalon etc used to be there but not anymore? It's a day out early in the year but room for improvement!

It's a day out early in the year but room for improvement! Was surprised not to see avalon but i expect they would get enough business in tge shop on a Saturday to make the game fayre a lost cause. There were a few good gun stands this year but you're right about clothing, also i found it very crammed in the main hall.
