My family are involved in film making.

Pirates are killing small film making companies.

This **** is just like saying burgle here or there, you are ripping people off.

I'm amazed that the Mods haven't pulled this thread.

Just pay for what you want. Most of what you get is dross anyway.

Can you imagine on pay day if you only got half your money because someone had found a way around not paying you?

You would not be posting this muck.

Mods, why do we allow threads that chat about 'Dodging the law' ???

How is it "burgling" if its a legally sold device?

Cars are sold legaly, but there are many ways to break the law whilst being in charge of one.

Surely its the wording of the law thats gives a loophole to buying, and using.

If you stream it through your pc you dont even need to buy a T V licence?

What does it all teach our young folk?

I still think its fiddling.

Thats my opinion, tough if you don't like it.

thats a good point, my main reason for the device is the sports channels and pay per view events, i agree whats already on most channels is tripe, not just any tripe, but quite often old tripe

Im not saying you cant get pay per view events ,but Ive never seen any.

You also need to realise that the quality is not the best,no matter what net connection you have,if you are thinking 1080 HD streaming I would forget it,720 with a reduced frame rate yes.

All in all they are a useful bit of kit for what they cost, but dont think they will replace your virgin/sky box.

As for legality, there is plenty of free legal channels available on them, but if you choose to go to the dark side...

So based on your logic seeing as shotguns are legal to buy with a licence but there are many ways to break the law with them we should close this forum immediately ? Or ban cars?

This thread was started to avoid paying for something.

We could bunfight all day about cars and gun's, you are quite right in what you say, and I am wrong, but lets not forget why this thread was started?

To get something for nothing.

It's legal to watch films streamed online, even if those hosting or making the films available are breaking the law or copywrite. The act of watching them is not illegal unless you intentionally create a copy. There was an EU court case that ruled on this last year.

Do you have a link to the ruling, does it also apply to sports.
