eddoakley
Ok, following on from my very unhealthy porsche thread I am thinking about what I could replace it with. It could be anything..... So things to consider: Fuel economy not important (dont drive it a lot) I really like the cayenne. I am very poor!!! This is a biggy. If the cayenne is scrap then it will be my biggest ever loss on a vehicle. I am not small so nothing too difficult to get in and out of or that makes me look stupid Budget could in theory stretch to 20k but realistically I would like to stay under 10 if at all possible. So fire away guys. What can you suggest? Edd

Edd Wish I was poor and had 20k to spend on a motor lol. Why don't you get another engine put in the Porsche and keep that if you like it.? MrM
How about something like a 2009 Touareg for around £15/£16k?
robbiep
Do yourself a favour, and have a look at this : http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/topic/316995-audi-a6-saloon/ He's selling what has to be the bargain of the year.

Del T
Rs4 You would struggle to find a half decent one for under 20k, then it will still be an old car/estate.

Not floating my boat. Just agreed to put an engine in the porsche so no massive rush to find something. Will keep looking though. robbiep
Jag XFR ? Have a look on your other thread, where someone has posted up about their (just) out of warranty 3 year old Range Rover (remember, the company is called Jaguar Land Rover), which has done 45k miles and the engine has just gone bang ! Maybe not the wisest move on the planet ...
Harnser
Have a look at lease hiring a car . You may be very surprised at the prices . You would have a brand new car with no worry of of repair bills . Well worth a look . Harnser

A decent used car should be better value for me (he says with a knack ered porsche!!) I would rather buy used and have someone else cover that initial hit as it comes off the forecourt, which is essentially what a lease costs. Cambsman
I had an XF. Great car. Also had an XKR with the supercharged engine. Superb. Never had any problems with either.

casts_by_fly
X5 BMW Agree. With the 4.2 V8. Good used examples available, plenty of space for a big guy, but lots of punch and space. Probably the closest you'll get to the Porche in an SUV (supercharged RR would be there, but I don't know prices). thanks rick
