30-6
Out yesterday on crows using auritech ear plugs, which are very good and very comfortable. At end of play took left one out with a little struggle, but could not get right one out. It seemed too far in and nothing to grip on. No doubt the ear was sweaty, and I might add I clean my ears with cotton buds ( know I should not ) to get rid of excess wax, on the theory of not compacting it while inserting plugs. I did try gently prising it out gently with a Yale key in the field, but ended up having to tweezers it out at home.
Scully
Could you not push it out with your cleaning rod, from the other side?

rodp
There's an easy way that involves a large branch and a tree stump !! First off find a suitable fallen branch, about 2 feet long and 3 inch diameter. Then find a large log or tree stump just below waist height. That's all the equipment you'll need. Stand in front of the stump and drop your strides, place all your "tackle" on the stump and grasp the branch firmly in both hands. Raise the branch above your head and bring it down sharply on laid out "tackle". Believe me, the ear plugs will fly out  This is a public information bulletin that is freely given .............................. photo's would be appreciated though

30-6
Never thought of that. I thought of attaching some type of cord, but that is not feasible with this type of ear plug.

PaulJC
I've used earplugs on bikes for years, a good tip i got a while back was if they get stuck to open and close your jaw as far as possible, this changes shape of the ear canal apparently and can loosen them up

KFC
No, you're not the only one. I just slap a toilet plunger on the side of my head and suck it out
old man
A pull down on the lobe alters the ear canal shape, may make removal and insertion easier?
