not to be outdone by VIKING.....i an posting a couple of pics to keep the thread alive..

my mate bought this mower off and american airman for £60.00........he had taken it to 3 mower shops and wouldnt fix it as the model had been discontinued and some parts were no longer available...its a 6hp Bolens...was American import but Bolens has been bought by a UK company and has changed the design....engine is still the same and the cutter knife but some bits are defunct....it is a beast of a rotary mower ...and is a proper "mulching" mower.......

anyway i mended it made a new yoke that raises the cutting height...and now i will tarte it up a bit....this is the pic with all the covers off and the bits i mended

boring stuff ....sorry.......

the new similar model is over £2000 !!........

Possibly less would be interested than in your engine rebuild but enough to make it worthwhile.

Do you have a date for 'lift off?'

ive got the injector nozzles now.....so all i have to do is the fuel lines and rig up some sort of system that will allow the bleed back to function correctly ...as the whole system is sealed...like a heating boiler system.....the filter bowl housing is the answer but that is missing one crucial banjo bolt....it wasnt there when i bought the scap engine...and i dont really want to buy another complete one.....i may try and blag one off someone.......

i would also like to fit an oil pressure gauge to it first and do a pressure check on all the cylinders before i run it up....so there are a few things to do first before the "fire up"

like to start it before the end of january.................
