Novice
I'm taking a walk up day this season that will involve some ponds where duck are likely and will finish with an evening flight. Any recommendations for a reasonably priced steel cart? My gun has a 3" chamber if that makes any difference. I understand there have been some advances with steel recently so keen to hear of experience with the new generation of cartridges. I did buy a box of bistmuth a few years ago but at £1 a pop I cried everytime I loaded one! Novice
Farma Geddon
I have been using Gamebore 32gr 3s. Pretty good killers. I also like Eley vip 32g 3s.
Stonepark
Either gamebore or express 36g 3 or 4 will drop them fine.

wildfowler.250
Gamebore 36g 3's is what I use all the time but for pond shooting I'd be tempted to drop to the 32g 4s.

Novice
Managed to get some of the gamebore so will hold the hull back in reserve, although if we get through the 50 gamebore we'll have had some day! Thanks for the input. Novice

Thanks for the input. Novice If you have both why not use the hull in the Bottom barrel then the gb in top, so your harder hitting cart is in your tighter choke. And the closer shots are covered by the hulls.
BrowningB525
I tried Ely Lightning Steel 36g 3s in a 3" cartridge. They were brilliant. Expensive at over £8 for 25, but I'll be using them again!

Fingers crossed I get a shot or two after all this 😊
