Underdog
The one I was after on Friday. A pattern did emerge on her habits, she lives on a farm but when the lads are busy first thing she would come into a rough grassed field out the way for a spot of hunting. I stalked around in a wide arch to get the wind right as I approached the area she frequents. Unfortunately mother nature induced an urge in my that had me reaching for paper . How ever as I did my trousers up I spotted her! I moved in. She entered a spinney, the one on the left in the photo as I approached from the right in the photo. After a while and with good fortune she emerged and started coming my way so I dropped to my knee. I could not shoot due to tall grasses and was getting more and more anxious eventually though she spotted me in a good shooting lane, I concentrated the sight and forced my self to not snatch the trigger, it went on for ages and she must of been ready to turn but I swear that face mask delayed her actions. 42 paces, complete pass through. Dougy
Well done UD, Funny there's many a time I've needed to drop a truffle or 2. Always prepared for those occasions. Been out 3 times this last week just had the 1, and missed another, there getting a bit thin on the ground now. Till the shoot on 29th and see how many get flushed out. No doubt I WILL be informed by the keeper lol
