Underdog
You know the little pickups with a bit of a cab on them and noisy little diesel engines in them!  Must cost a fortune!  Why not stick some good rubber on a jimney? 😀  Good idea or what? alastair0903
I think the exchange rate would be atleast 1 gator / 12 useable jimney`s . Would be more fun than a gator too

shaun4860
They are self build, Â Guy up here has one, it was an insurance write off, Â Cut the top back off, sealed and plated bulkhead, Chequer plated the back end, uses it for stalking, Lightweight so drives most anywhere to pick up carcasses. kennett
Have a look at www.kapsuzuki4x4.co.uk. Shoot I go beating on uses a Jimny conversion bought from there. It's spot on, like a mule, but with heating, radio and comfy seats! Also easy to keep road registered

scotslad
I can remember in the old days when u could still get long wheeled based SJ410/413's that were pick ups.  Think u can still get them new in NZ, or u could 5 or so years ago  Handy little motors with the extra space in the back.  I've driven a few of the different mule/gator type things and they are ok off road i doubt ur suzuki would really come close or not when loaded up with feed which is how they run about most off the time
Davyo
You can get them but how I have no idea, most convert them but as far as capability my old Jimny 4inch lift & full off road tyres 10 bags of feed in the back was unstopable, just drag a trailer now.Cant say it's a good as a mule & wouldn't put a bet on it but still perfect and as other say 'cheap' Edited December 28, 2015 by Davyo
kennett
I will give the mule we use it dues, it's off road ability is realistically unbeatable for what we use it for. I have one woodland track that crosses the ditch of a long gone fortified farm, it is a sharp little trench, which also has a tight camber change, so it usually only has 2 wheels on the floor. It will do it empty in 2wd, or with 10x 25kg bags of wheat in 4wd. It does less damage to grasstracks, but does lack ground clearance on deep ruts. For me the draw of a Jimny, or the 200 quid pinin in the for sales section is that they are cheap to buy, cheap to maintain (mule oe front shock/spring assembly is iirc nearly 200 quid) and warm!
