magman
After a two year sabbatical from any shooting, this was a great way to get back into it. I saw many familiar faces & friends and the weather was much better than than in my first year as organiser all those years ago. It was a great event and I am glad that Shoehorn and PhilR made me aware of the dates and encouraged me to come along. I hope to see you all again next year. Good to see you today buddy

Catamong
Yes, a really good day had by all, shame about the result, I'd have to say that I was pestered by so many potential ringers for the South before the event, it troubled me to tell them that only long standing PW members could enter, but, alas, in true Northern style, those "unwritten rules" were abandoned by the dole scroungers who were, so it seems, desperate to cling on to the trophy..? Still, I have it on good authority that next years event is being hosted in Cornwall, Ladbrokes are already offering very long odds on a win by the North, at long last it looks like the trophy will finally be coming back home, where it belongs.. Joking apart, really pleased to see so many long standing supporters of this very worthwhile event, plus a good few new faces this year, the weather was a tad kinder than forecast, and I'm sure we all had a great day out, many thanks to all of those who helped organise the event, we were all winners today..! Will try and post a few photos soon. Cat.

Nicholas Bottoms
Brilliant day, all for a good cause, even if 't' northerners did take the win. Can I propose that whoever takes the gun from the raffle from now on must shoot that at next years shoot? Once again, well done everyone

harpoonlouis
Enjoyed my first North South shoot very much, huge tanks to all the organization team and the sponsors/donator to the raffle. Sorry to the North for shooting under par, haven't felt nervous shooting for years but the first few stands were nerve janging! I think I worked out that some of those targets would actually have been over the boundary of the field I set up in so that's my excuse. Looking forwards to the next match. PhilR
Kingo15 what gun are you buying? Where any of the English Open targets still on and part of the charity shoot? The driven, stand 7 I think it was, and 9 which was the orange left to right crosser with the lemon incomer beneath your feet. Stand 6 was used but different targets, just as hard as the EO ones though. Edited May 22, 2016 by PhilR

kingo15
Kingo15 what gun are you buying? Where any of the English Open targets still on and part of the charity shoot? I had been thinking about a s3 black edition b725. I spoke to hodnet and borrowed there s1 725 for the charity shoot. Shot the whole hundred with it and managed a 79. Was a dog of a gun seen better days bless it.but I was impressed with. I might have said it once or twice on the day. Haha. Our ref let me have 2 stabs at the high bird on stand 6. I missed the first one and then gave it another 20ft and hit the rear end of it. Thanks to bunnykiller managed to work out the orange close thing and the incomer. Good day brilliant targets. A good mixture thou
