Scully
I sincerely hope mainland european shooters and their organisations have more fight in them than their British counterparts. https://ukshootingnews.wordpress.com/2016/03/21/eugunban-theresa-may-wants-an-eu-wide-ban-on-semi-auto-rifles/
ElvisThePelvis
A little ambiguous, if it is a ban on all semi automatic 'weapons' ( that really needs rebranding) including shotguns then it's an issue, it's is just a ban on semi automatic rifles excluding .22 then I don't see the issue. What uses are there for semi auto rifles above .22? (genuine question)
Scully
Hunting? Target shooting? The same use as semi auto .22's?

(genuine question)EXACTLY the same as for single shot & bolt action, etc.Your viewpoint/question could be used for ANYTHING....why need a private car when buses/taxis exist?....why have a fridge when the shops are open everyday & you can buy fresh? I've lost a lot of private possessions ovet the years so politicians could release empty sound bites to the meeja & falsely claim this was now a safer land to live in... The system failings tend to be establishment level not end user....so ban the politicians & really make the world safer!! B, without any of us owning any guns because the government's don't like us having them.

Vince Green
The whole topic is a smoke screen. When people can walk in and out of Europe totally unchecked what purpose is served by these ludicrous proposals Last summer we travelled to Amsterdam and back on Megabus. The majority of people on the bus were middle eastern, north African, Somali or whatever but we were not checked at all going either way. We picked up the bus in a car park just outside Amsterdam and the driver took our passport details and wrote them on a form, he didn't even look at us. When we got to the tunnel he handed in the form and that was it. Our luggage wasn't checked or anything. Anybody could have been on that bus and anything could have been in their luggage Edited March 25, 2016 by Vince Green

Never been checked on either side of the channel.
