Danger-Mouse
Because he was 17 at the time of the offence. Minimum sentence is 3 years. Although with his history I`m surprised he didn`t go down for more.

B25Modelman
He added: 'He's remorseful. He also feels bad about letting down his mother and sister, who have been a great support to him throughout.' This reminds me of Miss World....I am going to help the poor. Yep, he now has 18 months to look out for the soap powder.
Brodie
I think a suspended sentence would have been more appropriate to save more prison overcrowding. Suspended - as in hanging.
Gordon R
What happened to the maximum sentence, never mind the minimum? He has previous.

TONY R
There is just no reason why he should not do is time and come out and re ofend again, he has done it before what makes anyone think he wont again. If they genuinely cared about that lad they would jail him for 5 years as a miunimum 8 and mean 8 no remission. as he is a re offender. That way he would come out in his late 20s with a clear message about authority. What message is this sending him now just do as you want the law is a joke. Prisons full. Fine Only fill prissons at night get em out working all day every day. What we have got here is faliure to comunicate. Things need to change. . Les*1066
Looking at his handsome young face, it strikes me that there isn't too much going on between his ears. Whatever he's done before, I think it's probably safe to say he'll do again.
Westley
Here is hoping the guns 'Owner' comes looking for them, when he comes out ! Mind you it has to be one of the better Hatstands that I have seen.
Lloyd90
He's was 17 at the time is probably why. A lot of youngster's who are "off the rails" can come good and straighten themselves out after a tough upbringing or just being an idiot when younger. Perhaps the judge is hoping for something similar.
