Wingman
Has anyone ordered gun parts from Brownells UK website? Are the parts shipped from the US, and I have heard that they take ages to arrive. Can anyone give me views or experience as I need to buy a bunch of parts for a Browning Auto5 and they seem to be the only place in the UK i can source them from.. Thanks chaps for your help! panoma1
I ordered some browning bits from them last year, reasonable price and arrived in reasonable time! If memory serves, I think they were sent from the US though!

If memory serves, I think they were sent from the US though! Had heard they are shipped out of the US. May be my only option though as I cant seem to find somewhere in the UK to get what I need (friction rings & recoil spring)
saddler
I ordered some browning bits from them last year,... I think they were sent from the US though! You DON'T say!! I order direct from the US outlet. No point paying someone to do it for me then also charge me more for the parts.
Wingman
Thanks Saddler that's what I thought, I also have some work colleagues in the US who shoot and I was wondering if I could get them to order them and then bring them on one of their visits to the UK. Its a shame though that spares are so scarce in the UK, I dont need much to get an old piece of history working again. Actually I wonder if there are any european sources that may have them.. Will need to do some research.

panoma1
You DON'T say!! I order direct from the US outlet. No point paying someone to do it for me then also charge me more for the parts. When ordering several parts direct from the US worth more in money than the import/VAT thresholds, it attracts amongst other costs, UK Duty and VAT and a handling/delivery charge via Royal Mail!........Brownells UK charge UK postage! Do the maths!
Savhmr
All Brownells' stuff is shipped direct from the US. If you use the UK site, they have a clearing arrangement with customs. Parts arrive within 7 to 10 days IME. They're pretty good for some things, undercutting UK suppliers by up to 40 or 50%. Recently bought some case prep gear from Brownells for £100 less than a UK supplier. I wont buy from those UK suppliers who just order it in via Brownelss in the first place then slap their own margin on it.
