If we have proper border controls how come people have managed to travel all the way through Europe, then to Birmingham via Paris Brussels.

How do you spot a terrorist, profiling analysis and years of training.

My goodness there is a lot of animosity and bitterness swirling just below the surface of PW at times.

The relentless posting of the same stuff over and over again in countless threads has really got an awful lot of people into a right mood.

Felly, good man for sticking with your principles and voting the way that you believe.

Words dont express emotions very well especialy when pened by the average joe shooter on shooting forums, thats what the emotion list is for try and add to the context of the post, the vast majority of the posts on this controversial subject have been light hearted and leg pulling , and only a few have got a bit out of sync.

Its been a long time coming this referendum and thats not helped, But its all over in about 25 mins and even better news the wildfowling season is just over two months away, now that is great news.

On the age debate.

I'm 34 and have seen a few recessions in my life , seen Birmingham slowly turn into a no go zone in certain parts.

I have a right to vote.

My dad is 64 and I treasure his experience and value his vote. He's not bothered about his future( he's told me) but wants the best for my three children and me.

With age comes experience .

What about the French authorities in Calais telling our men there to go home and getting lax again with border control.

Brexit won't stop Africans and Middle Easterners trying to get here you know.

No but getting shut of the traitors in charge and an OUT Vote will if they get treated as they should by a Govt that gives a toss.

Boris for Prime Minister , I sincerely hope not. He is using this referendum for political gain. Whatever Cameron put his effort behind Boris would take the other stance as he wants a confrontation within the party and become the leader.

We don’t get a vote in the Isle of Man, despite being a member of EU via the UK. Seems a bit unfair when a Brexit will probably hit us very hard. I think the Channel Islands are the same but I believe Gibraltar have a vote.

a Brexit will hit hard on every EU country but most of them don't get a vote either!

Voted out, waited years for this vote. I hope to god we tell the EU to shove it, Its a ticking time bomb, the remainiacs will rejoice tomorrow if we stay but the EU is only heading one way.

?

Which bit don't you get, we are run by traitors who want to Islamify Europe. Just look at the shouty midget London Mayor being lined up for PM. They are doing a great job BTW come and have a stroll round here.

Agreed. I don't mind how anyone votes; that's what democracy is all about.

One of my nephews ( a shooting lad ) told me the other day he doesn't know enough about it to make a decision, and I didn't try to influence him either way as mainly I couldn't be bothered to go over it all.

My daughter is at Uni' and totally disinterested ( and dating a lad from Malaysia (?) whose name I can't pronounce and who is Hindu incidentally. He would scare the pants off some brexiteers as he looks more sinister than me and has a permanent tan! :) ) and I didn't try to influence her either, and probably for the same reason.

I despise deceit, corruption and unjustness with a passion, which has heavily influenced my vote admittedly, and have friends who are voting to remain ( one because he loves street cafe culture! ) and we have had some very friendly banter along the referendum route, but it's not worth sacrificing friendships for.

The lad at work who had an argument with our boss over this the other day, walked out this morning, despite the boss asking him to stay and us all thinking it had blown over. :|

This simply isn't true. But there is no point trying to convince you otherwise.

This.

The EU is empire building in its purest form, and as with all empires it will fail.

History shows us that empires seldom fall without conflict and bloodshed, and I doubt this model will be any different.

Errrr, what?

Dream on.

Well to get this thread back on message, I've just voted in.

If we are out then I won't loose any sleep over it but I'm happier with my in vote than if I voted out, despite the EUs various flaws.

Various flaws are you mad??

no, no. He's right. errrr...what?

Felly's right. Junker won't be around forever and there is a growing appetite for change to the EU across Europe. Personally, I'd like to see a 55-45 split in favour of in. A 10 point win is not to be sniffed at, but it will also show Europe, already nervous after gains by Far Right elements in most notably France and Austria, that in order to prevent the whole thing collapsing, concessions will need to be revisited. Or more countries will start to hold referenda about whether it's worth staying in or not. I'm not expecting this, but it's a possibility

My local paper has been running an online poll to gauge support for the Leave/Remain vote.

One of the fastest growing towns in the country we certainly have our problems with the NHS, housing, and education system. We have seen a rise in immigration, some from abroad but also many from London who have been forced from the city by the sky high house prices and rents. Unfortunately we seem to have attracted many of the wrong uns' and crime has rocketed throughout the borough, in particular gang related crime. The police will tell you they have it under control, I can tell you categorically they don't.

This always used to be a fairly quiet town, run in the main by the Lib Dems. At the last election the sitting MP was ousted and a Tory elected. I always anticipated the town as a whole would vote to remain in the EU, but with the recent growth and changing demographic I couldn't be sure. I have to say I was quite surprised, and indeed heartened, when the poll was published online.

This is just a snapshot of an average town in the UK and it shows a narrow vote to leave.
