yickdaz
started out looking for some stubbles had a look at the laid barley we have shot recently on the way nothing of any note going on them fields, very few fields have been harvested in this area and none at all on our local and furthest permissions 20 miles away even the rape hadn't been cut but sprayed off so anytime now for them, so after 50 miles of looking ended up back at the laid barley on our way home birds were now flighting on them so a short watch then setup at 3.15pm, steady action for nearly 3 hours and salvaged a bag in the end 51 on the clicker picked

JDog
You may have been out looking too early. A good recovery.

motty
A good bag in anyone's book. Just shows the difference between North/South. I have almost too many stubbles to choose from.

pigeon controller
A good resul Daz, you can only shoot what's there, one of my farms was not cut last week and is all ploughed in this week therefore no birds. What it does do is concentrate the birds on the local stubbles.
Cranfield
I have found in my area the birds seem to be on the laid cereals early (before I am out) and then back again mid to late afternoon. You ended up with a nice number for your efforts.
