Lord O War
Just seen this on Gunstar http://www.gunstar.co.uk/lee-enfield-number4-bolt-action-303-rifles/rifles/863342 I'm not implying there is anything dodgy about the rifle just that they could have put a bit more thought into photo location. It is live just, incase the ad goes. I'm really surprised that the police weren't called out. Edited October 17, 2016 by Lord O War
Prime18
Not where I'd be putting my firearms to take pictures but each to there own.
Lloyd90
Nothing illegal about it. Was in his possession at all time. Should we be ashamed and hide the fact we are legal firearm owners ? If the police were called out they'd only be wasting their own time (as often they do) with such incidents.
ordnance
Nothing illegal but unwise, putting it on a wall for all to see could get you in trouble its not exactly the same bellow but if you live in that house you are advertising you have a firearm in the house. The bolt also looks to be closed another bad idea, i would not be happy if it was pointing my direction, or towards my property. A firearm certificate is conditioned to require that “firearms to which a certificate relates must be stored securely at all times so as to prevent, so far as is reasonably practicable, access to them by unauthorised persons. Beyond this, every instance is different but if you post pictures of yourself with your firearms on social media and someone can then search to work out your location then this is obviously unwise at best. Depending on the individual situation, carelessness on social media could lead to revocation as a breach of the conditions of your FAC as above as it could compromise your personal safety and security of the firearms. walshie
Possibly not illegal, but I wouldn't fancy being the person living opposite. The gun owner might be very safe and competent, but then again he might not, so a rifle aimed at your house would be a bit disconcerting to say the least. Ollieollie
I wait for the right moment when moving my guns to and from the house, not the attention i desire for my family home
Scully
I'd like to say 'does it matter', but sadly in this day and age, it does. All my neighbours know I have firearms as I live in a relatively small very rural community, and no one has complained, with the exception of a neighbour who moved here from London, but it's not really wise at best to advertise the fact you own firearms by ( in this case ) perching one on your garden wall aimed at a neighbours house across the road. I would say he was very lucky he didn't attract someones attention.

Lord O War
I've got quite a collection of deacs and I'm really careful walking past windows holding them especially as I have AK's and M4 deacs so if people see them it's all panic time! I don't like to advertise what I have to the local scrotes so keep it all on the low down.
Sian
Where I live that would mean a visit by a heavily armed unit in short time. I don't think it was his best idea to display it on a front garden wall either for his own security arrangements or the neighbours' hearts. No good assuming he is safe and sensible because he might not be and in any event assuming is what gets people in trouble.
