ElvisThePelvis
Sometimes you need welding goggles! Bold ones are ok from screwfix but a bit small around eyes, beretta ones on estore are good but are a bit more money
Exudate
You need safety glasses for shooting. Sunglasses are not safety glasses. Safety glasses curl around the side of your face, to protect your eyes from a projectile entering from the side. They often also have extra shielding on their topside, for protection from above. In summary, they fit tight to your face. The lenses are also made to a certain impact standard. Regular sunglasses will inevitably lack one or more of these features. As mentioned in a previous post, Bolle are a good, cheap, off-the-shelf make. We use these at work for protection against chemical splashes. HDAV
Lots of different grades of "safety" glasses for different tasks plenty of "sun glasses" meet the etc for spcertain safety uses, bolle and Oakley do. Branded as safety glasses they are often cheaper. . Eye Protection Shooting glasses, as from January 1st 2004, are mandatory whilst shooting or in the company of shooters at all registered shoots. Glasses will not only protect your eyes from stray pieces of broken clay but also from falling lead and any gun malfunctions. Glasses can be additionally beneficial in difficult light conditions, with appropriately tinted lenses. CPSA Eye Protection Policy: The wearing of adequate and effective visible eye protection by shooters, trappers, officials and spectators at or around any shooting position at all Registered events is mandatory from 1st January 2004. It is recommended that this protection be to a minimum standard of BSEN 166 F details of which are available by clicking here.. figgy
Any sunglasses are better than no glasses. But if you can buy a set of tinted shooting glasses, some are reasonably priced like the top gun set.

Muddy Funker
I bought a set of these years ago, easy to swap lenses, military issue, don't look too knobby. And not that expensive. http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1311.R4.TR12.TRC2.A0.H0.Xrevision.TRS0&_nkw=revision+sawfly&_sacat=0 I'm sure other brands boast the same but this cheesy video gets the point across quite well. There's another on youtube with some maniac firing at a lens on a tree with a handgun and the lens stays intact. Just seen I'm a bit late to the party haha. Might help someone else choose.
