Delwint
Out of my window I can see all of my permissions fields, albeit quite a way. I can just about see by way of binoculars which are 8x42, pigeons flighting to the fields but I can't see what's on the ground. What could I use to get a clearer view. The distance is probably around 1500 yards. Many thanks gents Delwint.
Yellow Bear
Aldi/Lidl do one at certain times of the year at about £25 - should be adequate for this - check in store they sometimes have them left

Danger-Mouse
WELLIES ? lol The Aldi spotting scopes are pretty good, especially considering the price. If you can find one it should easily meet the OP's needs.

Danger-Mouse
I've got a set, reckon they'd be able to see to 1500 yards though? I suppose it would depend somewhat on elevation. When first tried mine out I was looking down on a farm from quite high up. It was definitely more than a mile away and I could easily pick out individual items on the washing line, including what I presume were the farmer's wife's smalls
Delwint
Lol thanks westley I've had my rangefinder on the couple of fields in front and that's showing 900 yards, but they are set aside. I want to be able to see the OSR behind. Do Aldi stock the scopes all the time or periodically? Thanks for your suggestions even Westley And DM I'm high up looking down
Danger-Mouse
Periodically, well to be completely accurate, annually. Looking at when people have posted reviews it seems to be offered sometime between March and June/July so you could be asking around the right time. I seem to remember buying mine around springtime. Delwint
And they will see further than 8x42 bino's?
Danger-Mouse
And they will see further than 8x42 bino's? I believe the scope is something like 20x60.

Danger-Mouse
Forget pick out, you could have picked them up if you'd have bothered walking a mile They weren't to my taste. And they're not much use to me if they don't contain the wearer. Never seen the point of this.

figgy
Not wearing them right, the gusset need to cover the mouth and nose or they won't work as a dust mask.
