Kalahari
Some of you may know that I was not successful in the BASC Council Elections. I would like to take the opportunity to thank the people who supported me and I am sorry I did not do bettter for you. I am also told, and as a result have had a number of my posts deleted before the closing date of the elections that I had upset some BASC members by posting too much and they thought I was "calling in favours" actually I don't know a person on here who owes me anything favour or otherwise! However if you were upset please accept my apology. Many thanks, David.

Mungler
Who were the winners then and in what areas? Anyone got a link. Fair play for getting stuck in and trying
Mice!
I'm not a basc member so its none of my concern, but how can you post too much? Surely if your looking to be elected into a post then you have to be involved so need to be posting? And so what if your calling in favours, that's how the world works?? bakerboy
Great working with you David. I was hoping that we could work together on Council at BASC, but hey ho. Like you I cannot think of anyone that owes me a favour on PW. The support we received was truly fantastic. Onwards and upwards
Danger-Mouse
Well done both of you for making the attempt. No apologies are necessary, you gave it a shot but despite your best efforts it didn't come off. At least you tried.
ShootingEgg
Surely posting on here for support is just like using any social media or even door knocki, after all it is 2017!!! How else do you campaign and let people know your views known. Sorry to hear ot was not the outcome you were after.
andrewluke
the winning candidates were probably too posh for this forum and that's why we've heard nothing from them on here!
figgy
I hope they're shooting people with our interests first and foremost. If not they best get shot and have a rethink, there image with members isn't exactly great at the moment
bakerboy
I have just looked through the paperwork I had received reference the BASC Council election, on the voting papers, two of the Candidates were smiling and two had the typical Passport stern picture. David and I were those not smiling, maybe we should have done , would it have made a difference ? Some of the comments I received, were along the line, You look like an East End thug and I voted for you as I was too frightened not to, and those remarks came from friends . Well I have to say it did bring a smile to my face.
