That’s very strange because the Road Tax and MoT checker on the Gov website says that number plate is still assigned to a 2013 Black X5. That’s probably a different car though because yours is 2014.

well it is actually  a 2013, but a 63 plate, first registered in November 2013, typo obviously in my first post, i must have developed a problem with mumbers and i stated my gun for sale was a 2015 when it was infact a 2012, plus most of the time im typing in the dark and never really check what iv written, but its nice to know your paying so much attention to my car, would you like to come round and check my tyre :)

Good job one of us has been paying attention - that £20k to £30k car you purchased over 2 weeks ago (and have been driving) was flagging up as uninsured. The first manned ANPR camera would have seen you’re car on the back of a low loader.

Indeed, my understanding is that the same technology is used on all chain petrol station forecourts - you must have problems filling up with go juice because the pumps auto shut down if there’s any problem associated with the number plate.

The MiD database updates hourly so by the time you’ve read this you’ll have had it all sorted so no need to worry.

Incidentally, it’s flagging as a 2 previous owner vehicle (not 1) and neither number plate associated with the vehicle (the private plate and the original YE63 plate) has insurance attached to it. You should probably get onto your insurer because you would have thought they’d have at least one of the number plates on the MiD.

It’s amazing the info you can now get for  nothing and in under 10 seconds:

Surely, having announced your purchase and furnished us with pictures showing the registration number, perhaps you should be grateful that someone is looking out for you.

Far better than getting pulled over and asked for your paperwork and current vehicle status.

Yes I’m greatful the new reg mistake was picked up. All I’m saying is I find it strange that someone Is doing checks on my car.

Perhaps you received more attention than you sought?  Always a danger when posting piccies of an expensive car.

I’m slightly surprised you haven’t had the hindsight car buyers posting that you bought the wrong car for too much money in the wrong colour.

Still, there’s plenty of time...

No need, I have just checked on the tyre check website and you still have 5.5 of tread left. :whistling: we are watching you :ninja:

You didn’t really just type that did you?

There was of course that regrettable incident where you posted a photo of a lightweight Landrover that you had just bought and the funny thing was the bloke who owned it (and who had it parked up in his garage) was a member on here.

Now that was both funny, embarrassing and slightly mental in equal measures

So, please do forgive the skeptics on here. Indeed, until I see a photo of you driving it and the V5, I won’t believe you. Likewise, if you said the sky was blue I’d have look up first. Saying that, this is the internet and what any of us say or think doesn’t mean very much in the real world.
