welshwarrior
Do a search but yes get guns fitted makes a difference how much depends on a few factors how close the fit currently is and how good your technique is. As for UK Gun Repairs yes they are good at it.

Fil
Gun fit is often overlooked yet very important. If you are in the Berkshire/Wiltshire/Oxfordshire are pm me. I do gun fitting and alterations regularly and mostly from recommendation.
MR. BROWN
'Gun Fit' is far more important for Trap shooting vs Field / Sporting Clays. Field / Sporting is more target focused; Trap is having everything 'just right'. I use more than a dozen different guns for Sporting Clays, with a dozen different configurations ...... I'm no slouch and I am familiar with all guns. Concentrate hard on the target and your confidence will have the gun at the right place on shoulder / point in the sky. Practice, practice practice .....

welshwarrior
Anyone who tries to give you a gun fit with out seeing you shoot is guessing. A gunfit is quite a long process but envolves a gunfitter not gunsmith or shooting instructor watching you shoot representative targets and making adjustments most will and should use a pattern plate as well. Dave at kelton
I strongly recommend gun fitting, particularly if you have a gun you intend to stick with. It is not cheap if done properly but worth it. Francis lovell did regular sessions at the Oxfordshire Shooting Ground.
