I am still of the opinion that high density occupation brings out the worst aspects of behaviour as all fight for dominance irrespective of the actual areas where the density occurs. One small problem in the London Boroughs is they are building flats everywhere with virtually no parking. I can see their logic, parking spaces take up space that could be more profitably used to cram in a few more flats. They justify it by saying the sort of people they are targeting the flats for are not likely to own cars but that's a blatent cop out. Councils have already had plenty of failures along these lines in every city it has been tried yet they still continue, not caring who funds the revenue streams. JohnfromUK Posted August 7, 2018 Report Share Posted August 7, 2018 Slightly off topic, but on parking as above posts, Councils round us limit the number of parking spaces that can be included with industrial units, often to well less than the number of people likely to be in a building that size. This means that people park on the service roads - and with many large artics delivering, causes big problems. I visited (business trip) Canada a few years ago and one of the nice things was that there was never any problem parking at the hotel, airport, customer's offices or manufacturing plant. That's like America, restaurants shops etc usually have more parking than they could ever possibly need.
