samadams21
I have the chance of the above 12g at under £200, - not amazing condition but not the worst I’ve seen. The only thing that is putting me off is the double trigger Just wanted some thoughts on people that have or have had one
WestonSalop
I have one and it suits me fine. The double trigger does take some getting used to but as they say, practice makes perfect. Well it would, with anyone other than me....
scarecrow243
had the single trigger model it kicked like a mule with 30grm cartridges
wymberley
I have 2 20 bores although I got one of them for my step-son as I was so impressed, both from 1977. I've never had to get used to 2 triggers having grown up with them. Suffice to say, it soon becomes instinctive and unbeatable in a hide when pigeon shooting. JohnfromUK
I have as S57EL. Nicely made and very reliable. Mine has a single trigger, but I would prefer double triggers. Recoil is fine - provided the gun fits you OK.

Instant barrel selection .Less chance of double discharge and failure to change over .Less to go wrong on an old gun for which ther will be no available spares . London Best
Just me, but I wouldn’t have a gun with a SINGLE trigger asa gift.
oldypigeonpopper
hello, most of us PW members of a certain age started out with double trigger shotguns, not sure when singles came about but i had an early O/U that was double trigger but the rear could shoot both barrels, gunman is right on with his post and advice, if you think a single trigger would be more to your liking then get one like that, plenty for sale, the most important aspect is gun fitting you irrespective of triggers

Was having trouble getting my head around the fact that I'd been lucky enough to find a second one with double triggers when I saw that it too also had 26" barrels. samadams21
For me, I have only ever shot with a single trigger. Being fairly new to shotguns and this being my first shot gun in 10 years it was a difference. But from all the above comments I don’t think it will be a issue. Thanks all!! I swap between single trigger and double trigger without any problems. I prefer double trigger.
Old Boggy
I too swap between single and double triggers with no problem and also prefer double triggers. If double triggers however, the gun must have a straight hand stock in my opinion. OB

I sometimes use friend’s guns with single triggers and have no issues/problems using them. I simply would never buy one because of the complications and reliability problems, be they real or only in my head.
London Best
My observations are that people who learnt to shoot with double triggers usually have no problem switching to a single trigger. But I notice that many people who learnt on a single trigger gun have difficulty adapting to two triggers.
