holloway
It may depend on your type of gun what will you be using ?
Dave at kelton
Depends on gun and quarry. 3.5” steel proofed 12 and gamebore mammoth bb for geese. In ten bore load my own 42gm bb steel.
sam triple
Ok it’ll be a semi auto 3” magnum proofed cheers
Smokersmith
Retail steel is a lot better now than it was. The ‘velocity test’ pinned to the start of the Cartridges section has some good data. RC, Fiocchi, and Gamebore Mammoth, and Eley Lightning Steel all work well. figgy
Ive tried quite a few different steel loads over the years. My honest opinion is Gamebore 2 3/4" 32g 4 are the best for ducks and the 3" 36g 1 for geese for shop bought for 3" chamber gun. I've got eley lightning's and atomic steel, I still prefer the Gamebore. NSI do a waterfowl 3" BB load that should be ok if you can get some.
