MrPhantom
Icebreaker for me. I have a couple of their long sleeve merino tops. Toasty warm. Expensive but you are paying for quality.

Have a look in their sales items on their website. I have a lot of their gear for both fishing and shooting and reckon it takes some beating. I look in the sales bit, order on line and have it sent to local store. They notify me when it is in, I then go and try it on in store, if I am not happy with the item, they return it and I get a full refund. Alternatively order via shop and no postage costs (either way) involved. Their waterproof walking trousers are brilliant, I have 2 pairs. They do both long and short sleeve Merino tops and bottoms, I can not wear wool next to skin so do not have any of them, but I do have a Merino sweater and it is great. Robertt
Been using one for the last 4 years, or so but only when it's really chilly. Under a tenner form Lidl when they were doing Ski wear. Spot on .

henry d
Aldi does the business for me when I am kayak fishing in the winter under a fleece suit
joejoe
The Aldi ones are very good and cheap, I normally use that wildfowling. Got a rab one that’s a merino blend and not as warm but better for most of the winter when active.
