walshie
As one of the most impatient, ham-fisted men on Earth, I have no idea why I find this video so relaxing and satisfying. Terrific work.
TIGHTCHOKE
A Jeweler by trade I presume. And no safety glasses.
Farmboy91
I haven't watched it yet but one keeps popping up on my YouTube of someone turning a bolt to a Bowie style knife. Must watch it as the finished knife looks pretty good.
amateur
Oh, we could all be as good as that if only we had all those thousands of quid's worth of tools.... and done a 5 year apprenticeship!
moondoggy
Thank you for posting that, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Some very cool kit he’s got there along with oodles of talent, skill and patience. I will look for more of his videos now. 👍👍👍👍👍
moondoggy
I didn’t realise he is a gold medal winning Paraolympic swimmer as well. He was in a car accident at the age of four which left him in a wheelchair.
Gordon R
I look at stuff like this and what ditchman on here, plus others, do and wish I had the talent. I have built cars from scratch, renovated others and motorbikes, but don't possess the ability for intricate bits and pieces. I haven't the skill or the patience. bavarianbrit
I once built a Rickman Ranger took me 2 years of spare time total waste of money it was, swopped it later still unregistered for a LR lightweight which then got sold for £1800
Retsdon
Magnificent video, thanks for posting. Whenever I think the future of mankind looks bleak I can just watch this chap. 1 hour ago, amateur said: and done a 5 year apprenticeship! Quite. A very long time ago, after I finished university, I was kindly given some short-time work experience in the back of a gun shop. The two blokes I worked with were masters - one having been in the action filing shop at Boss for 20 odd years and the other having done his apprenticeship at Purdeys. It absolutely blew my mind how these guys could, like the man in the video, take a piece of metal and starting with a hacksaw and totally by hand simply make a perfect new trigger or sear or whatever, most of it just by eye until the final filing. It's civilization encapsulated imho
