Shearwater
Hi all, just put a small rip in my Goretex jacket in the middle of my bag on that dreaded barbed wire. . . .how do I fix it? It's about 2inch long. Thanks in advance

figgy
Usually get a seamstress to stitch it up and then apply a waterproofer to the stitching.
Pistol p
Apply a small patch at the back, use super glue to bond the edges with a sprinkling of bicarbonate of soda over the top.

DUNKS
You can still buy the iron on patches. Locate the patch on the inside then run a hot iron oover the outside. I have repaired everything from walking coats to a leather jacket this way.

bigmcg
Just stick some gaffer tape on it, fixes everything 😊
bavarianbrit
They tape the seams so that must be the stuff to use if you can find it.
