Scully
56 minutes ago, captainhastings said: You can shoot in england now In light of the government providing greater clarity on its Covid-19 guidance and regulations, BASC is advising that outdoor shooting activities as a form of exercise are permissible once per day in England during the national lockdown, subject to two conditions. You should only travel locally to shoot which is to “stay local in the village, town, or part of the city where you live” as defined in government guidance. When shooting you should only meet with people you live with, your support bubble; or when on your own, with one person from another household. If you cannot comply with these conditions, then you must not shoot as a form of exercise. To do so would place you at risk of a fine and may jeopardise your shotgun and/or firearm certificate. If you have no local shooting available then you will have to take your daily exercise in other ways. But it beggars belief what the hell is wrong with wales 🙂

People are still meeting up and having a chat, being constantly reminded of social distancing, then there is the club house, do they play together ? People just naturally congregate. But if they can play golf I want to play tennis or bowl or......... I'm sure the list would be a long one.

It doesn’t always work that way of course, scattered birds can wander a long way, which around here simply means they feed at another shoots feeding stations! Next seasons rough shoot depends on how well any wild birds fare during the summer. 🙂 Fox control

In the first lockdown there were very few cars - and less than the usual number of lorries. Since about June, traffic has been fully to 'normal' levels. Similarly the small, but heavily used 'B' road I cross on my walk to the river - there are never many lorries as it isn't an easy road for them. In the spring - no cars - for many minutes - not a car passed. Now busy and I often have to wait for several cars to pass before I can cross. There is no doubt that round here that the present lockdown is not reducing traffic anything like as much as the first one back in the spring.
