Starmer on the Andrew Marr Show!

Just watching the appalling Sir Kier Starmer being verbally beaten by Andrew Marr!    Rather surprised lefty Marr is giving him a hard time.

All he can say is "I didn't want schools to close."

He must have said it 15 times so far. Someone out there must believe in him and give him credence.

What a wally!

Starmer appalling, surely not? Quite restrained in my book.

Marr came over as the appalling one, carping on in his whining way not allowing replies to his previous questions? Obviously fixated on schools?

Starmer lacks mental agility. Considering (we are told) he used to be a successful barrister, he seems remarkably unable to verbally spar with interviewers like Marr and stumbles when they pin him down to detail.

He uses expressions like "when the time is right" but then waffles when the next question is "when will that time be?" as if he could not have seen it coming.

If you are going on TV to be interviewed by the likes of Marr/Peston/Neil etc you have to be prepared. There is no way you are going to wing it

This is probably because in court - barristers ask the questions.   They don't have to give the answers; hat delight falls to the accused, the police (where applicable) and witnesses.
