Westley78
Hi, I am looking for a vacuum sealer for bulk freezing pigeon breasts, rabbits, venison etc etc. I am usually a “if you buy cheap you buy twice” kinda guy so don’t mind paying for quality but there seems to be a lot of options ranging from £30 up to £300 and with no brands that I recognise I am truly bamboozled. Any help would be greatly appreciated 👍🏻

Walker570
I have one I purchased from our local Lakeland store and to date it has been excellent. Buy your bag material off Amazon , a lot cheaper than Lakeland and just as good.

TIGHTCHOKE
I just use sandwich bags, expel the air and knot them. Much easier!
Walker570
Personally I think the introduction of vaccum machines made deep frezzing excess vegetables and meat so much easier. My dep freeze no longer has a mixture of peas, beans etc covering the bottom and I can store at least twice as much. My advice is buy the best quality machine you can afford, not necessarily the biggest. Purchase the crimped bags because this does prevent freezer burn. moor man
I bought an aldi machine, about £30. It's vak packed many deer, mackerel, bass and pigeon breasts. Just make sure you buy extra bag rolls. I have no complaints with mine.
Houseplant
I have a Russell Hobbs unit, presumably available in the UK. Had it a few years now and it's been real game changer. Combined with dry ageing, our fish and meat comes out the freezer in excellent condition. No more freezer burn. It also makes a very nice looking "product" which is great when giving fish and meat to friends and family.

aister
I have an Andrew James vacuum sealer and it has been great, had it for a good few years now. IMO vacuum sealers are fantastic, especially for fish.
