Ausgunner
Was lucky enough to find this few weeks ago, appears to have been shot maybe one time in it's life, £290 very well spent, i love these old 101's, every bit as good as the miroku of same vintage, and you can find them for half the price of a new ata sp

reindeer
I own a Miroku 7000 and a Winnie 101 lightweight, both about 40 years old. The Miroku may be a little more versatile because of the Invector chokes. In 45 years of gun ownership I have handled a lot of shotguns and the 101 with fixed chokes is my all time favourite. I know of no other gun with similar or better handling qualities.

Nephew borrowed it one day and begged me to sell it to him, so I did, for 350. Some years later and after it fell out of his favour for a brand spanking newer model, I told him I’d buy it back off him. He gave me it as he’d considered surrendering it just to get it off his ticket! Happy days! 🙂

reindeer
Apart from engraving and grip, are there any structural differences between a 101 XTR lightweight with raised panels and the 5500, 6500 and 8500 line of models?
