That's down to Macrons intranscience and exploiting yuman rights issues which Boris is doing what it takes to shove it up Frances posterior - but it takes a lot of time to muscle it through and not resign because woke wets demand it. Paying farmers not to grow is replacing what the EU provided farmers with. This was going on before the food crisis and will take time to sort: we've seen what rushing things through did with Covid 19. Nett zero - I'm with you on that but we had to be doing something, unfortunately a war came at a bad time for seeing that through. Its caught out most of the world who are trying to reduce global warming, though not affecting those who aren't. No mass immigration via Visas, I believe the numbers last year were a new record over a million. Why would anyone think paying Farmers not to produce food would be a good idea, it's insane. Nett zero and the cost of it and what we actually contribute again insane. Edited May 28, 2022 by Weihrauch17

Priceless. 😂 Farmers all over the world have at one time or another, been paid to not produce food. Milk is the most common. Just talking to a farmer this lunchtime, about prices. He pointed to some of his beef stock on a hill and said, ‘just wait until they go to market in September, that’s when folk are going to realise how much things have gone up in farming’. Nothing being done by Boris now has effected how things are across East Lancs, its been like it is for years, the food crisis hasn't been caused by the government, many people simply live beyond their means, or have far too many children then expect someone else to pay for them. Inflation couldn't possibly stay as low as it was, it was always going to rise but it won't have stopped people spending money or made many save, but I do appreciate that for some saving isn't possible. I think back to when we were kids, things are different now, but I'd say on the whole everyone is earning more, but then things cost more and people want more, we certainly grew up with a lot less because you had to make do, take away was an occasional treat, one holiday to a caravan if our parents had planned and saved, which they did. This is why I don't buy how hard things are.

Dave-G
Seems there's been enough letters sent to trigger a vote of no Boris confidence. Part of me hopes another leader won't be up to the job and many of those who wrote their letters lose their jobs at the next election. Everyone knows some privileges are taken too far at the very top of almost any establishment, I'm not excusing it, just realistic about life at the top being a bit of 'do as we say not as we do'
Scully
It’s his own fault to be honest. I don’t want to see him go, but he’s only got himself to blame. There is no doubt this partygate farce is a witch hunt, but he hasn’t exactly helped himself. Saying all that, I’m keeping my fingers crossed for his survival. 🙂
Yellow Bear
It would appear that the totally useless EX minister Jeremy Hunt is at the forefront of the charge. Now there is a surprise (not)
mel b3
For such a very intelligent and capable man , he does some pretty dumb things at times . He then went on to make the whole thing even worse by telling lies about it, and treating the people of the country (and other MPs) like they're idiots. Ive no desire to see him gone, but as scully has already said . He only has himself to blame.

If he had just piut his hand up and said sorry from the start that would have settled the matter. He is certainly not the man for the job and good to see that there is some level of decency in the party to want him out. Unfortunately there are likely to be many more on his side than against. Who will regret their decision massively at the next GE. I have voted Tory all my life but Johnson is a social and economic disaster for the country. Edit Tory MP's just gifted Labour the next GE, absolute cowards. Edited June 6, 2022 by Weihrauch17
