Probably only of interest - barring grockle - to the Devon and Cornwall guys

Ultrastu
There always seems to be at least 40 % of the nessesary information required to figure out what he is on about . In this case I know what crackshot actually is .and hence got a grasp on the rest of the post . But other threads have left me dumbfounded .so I tend to give up and ignor .(this isn't aimed as an insult as more of a constructive criticism wymberley) Cheers. holloway
If I might be so bold as to illuminate if possible the aforementioned post with its heading Crackshot ,one might be led to understand that the post is about a really good rifle or shotgun or in fact pistol shooter. However I living in Devon actually in the near vicinity of a rather good (as mentioned in the post content) air rifle mostly boutique that trades under the name of Crackshot can very quickly understand the post in its entirety whereby it praises the said boutique for its retail acumen. some readers may without local knowledge of the existence of such a retail outlet with the aforementioned name of “Crackshot” may then struggle to grasp the full meaning of the post. Hope this might clarify the post a little.

There is no need what-so-ever for abuse on my part, after all, qui s'excuse s'accuse. If you're stuck with a fairly simple and well- known crossword clue; if it helps, think what might keep young Ultrastu 'wet behind the ears'. However, one aspect in particular was not so much their quaintly termed 'boutique' role as their technical knowledge and ability.

PaulCat
This is giving me flashbacks to the worst TV quiz programme ever, '3,2,1'. Utterly unwinnable.
