discobob
I was introduced to this just before Christmas - came on my breakfast at NWSS - it is delicious I then went home and ordered some - delivered just before Christmas and it is scrumptious done in the air fryer - Now I paid £20 inc delivery, apparently it is available from Makro for about £8 but I am in not a member there - does anyone know of anywhere that does this delight with postage say in the sub£15 range?? Any black pudding specialists on line etc...

It uses Beef Suet in it - no white bits - very peppery - also has barley I think in it. 37 minutes ago, ditchman said: somebody put up a post with a link to pudding suppliers recently .. try that I will have a look for that post Ditchy!!! yates
Plus one for Stornoway but we buy through Donald Russell with other meat items. Normally when they are offering discounts
discobob
Campbells Online has a discount code - STOLT15 for 15% off going to put an order in (free postage over £50) and if you your discount brings it down under that it is still free
SuperGoose75
I really must try and get hold of some of this Stornoway black pudding. That said it would need to be very good to beat Cork's finest Clonikilty black pudding. Made using a recipe dating back to 1880 which use's beef blood and flahavans oats. Highly recomended. discobob
Well, I have my second order of Stornoway black pudding on the way - with a 1.5kg pork joint, 2 * 400gbacon and a sausage box (48 of different types) - I got free postage (over £50) and nigh on £8 off using the discount code above - well chuffed. The discount took the total price below £50 but the free postage still applied. So all in all in my man maths I saved about £13 compared to just ordering the black pudding @SuperGoose75 I will have to see if I can order some of that Clonakilti for next time

This thread inspired me to check out the Bury one and I found this on youtube. I really like the look of the ''old skool'' horeshoe shaped ones. harrycatcat1
I bought some black pudding yesterday from a butchers that have had the same recipe for 60 years according to the lady that served me. It was 90p per 100g loose. The piece I chose was £2.25p. I had some last night and it was delicious 😋. Best I've had for years, I wished that I'd discovered it earlier. But I would fry it to crisp it up first rather than have it cold. I am watching the weight at present and have resulted to using these puddings, and they are very good and if no one told me what they where made from, I would be none the wiser.
